The island yearlist of moth is up to five species. The latest addition to the list is this Marbled Coronet. We really enjoy these well marked moths. Up to 200 have been caught in a night on the island in the past. They feed on the Sea Campion on the island.
This Black Guillemot was found by the Lowlighters in the Kirkhaven where it spent the afternoon basking on the rocks in the beautiful sunshine. I could even see it from the kitchen window while I was doing the cooking.
Mark trapped this beautiful Male Whinchat. We see a few of these migrants every year. At the time of writing there are two more in the garden with Sedge Warbler, Balckcap and many Willow Warblers about.
