Friday 24th July comments:  What a day! The family open fun day on the Isle of May was a huge success as all boats were full, the sun was shining (best day of the year?) and the island was buzzing with activities galore.

From face painting to treasure hunts, lobster hatchery to storytelling, we had it all. And the response was fantastic as families visited in huge numbers and everyone enjoyed there three hours on the May and I haven’t even mentioned the star of the show; our giant Puffin!

The Puffin greeted visitors as they arrived and even managed a cliff top dance (and thanks to James for wearing the outfit in such warm conditions – the well-earned swim in the sea cooled him later). Without doubt it was a huge success and thanks to everyone who helped make the day such a brilliant success.

Bring on next year…
