Sunday 9th October comments: The week’s headlines have been captured by the scarce and rare birds which have arrived but the real stars of the show have been getting on with life as normal.

The number of Seal pups on the island has increased to fifteen as more and more heavily pregnant mothers arrive to give birth. The Isle of May supports one of the largest Grey Seal colonies in the country with 2,500 pups born annually and this is just the start.
